The Milwaukee local section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) was one of twenty local sections petitioned by the ACS to start a new local section Younger Chemist Committee (YCC). The YCC is an emergent group of young chemists within the ACS involved in providing networking opportunities and professional development for persons starting or changing their careers in chemistry. By joining the Milwaukee YCC, you will be informed about local events, volunteering and award opportunities through the Milwaukee local section, and you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas for making the ACS more relevant to younger chemists.
Our committee is hosting the Second Annual Chemistry in Southeastern Wisconsin Poster-Mixer, to be held at the UWM Wisconsin Room on October 22rd 2010. The event will include FREE food and be a great opportunity to practice for upcoming conferences and make connections in the Southeastern Wisconsin community.
